About the Beer:
Plainclothes Wheat is a refreshing wheat pale ale. Our brewmaster opted to use a clean ale yeast strain, rather than using a Hefeweizen yeast or a Belgian yeast. What this leaves is a sunny yellow beer that is surprisingly light on the palette while still being primarily grain-forward like you’d expect from a wheat beer. The white wheat malts used in this beer come through as a “cereal” mouth feel and flavor. There is a slight sweetness, which is balanced nicely with a very light hop bill that gives this beer a nice crispness. For a wheat beer, expect this beer to feel “drier” in your mouth than a Hefe or a Belgian.
About the Name:
