About the Beer:
In our opinion the humble brown ale seems to be a vastly underrated style of beer. Brown ales are all about the malts, featuring flavors such as caramel, toffee, bitter chocolate and coffee. They pair incredibly well with most food dishes due to the bread-like quality imparted by the malts. Historically brewed in England, most of the more well-known browns are categorized geographically; northeastern brown ales tend to be strong, malty and often nutty, while those from southern England are usually darker, sweeter and lower in alcohol. American brown ales are usually drier than their English counterparts due to the American hop varieties used. Our brown falls right in line with the American-style as a medium-bodied beer with a strong malty center and dry finish.
